Language Personification (November 20, 2011 06:11:49)For a few years, I've been referring to web languages as celebrities to help beginning students make associations about how each tool is used. James Franco is PHP because he's super helpful (open source), behind the scenes (server sides) and not so intuitive...Colin Farrell is Javascript because he's front end only...he's what the user sees....and Michael Douglas is the Flash family of products because he's flashy and proprietary.
